Všeobecné informácie: Termín 07.07.- 22.07.2007. Počasie bolo mimo jeden deň horúce. V tieni teplota po dobu 10 dní dosahovala 38°C. V Budapešti bol nameraný nový rekor 40,9°C ( starý bol 40,3°V ). Voda v Ipli bola na minimu, na mnohých miestach dasahovala iba 15-20 cm! Potok Olvár bol vyschnutý ale zistil som, že do neho i za takéhoto sucha tečie potok z Ipeľských Uľan! Voda v rieke bola doslova teplá. Milým prekvapením bolo nájsť jaštericu krátkohlavú ( Lacerta agilis ) na záhrade ( i keď utopenú vo vani ).
1. Hľadanie krátkonožiek štíhlých ( Ablepharus kitaibelii ) na lesostepnom kopci u Ipeľských Uľan. Krátkonožky som hľadal jedno doobedie 19.07.2007 na lesostepnom kopci. Odvalil som veľké množstvo kameniv ale bez úspechu. Našiel som iba ropuchu zelenú ( Pseudepidalea viridis ) a videl 3 jašterice zelené ( Lacerta viridis ). Na Šomoši som bol iba raz, cez obed, ale nevidel som tu v tejto dobe žiadne jašterice. Pravda bol to jede z horúcich dní, keď teplota v tieni bola 37°C.
2. Návšteva záchrannej stanice Vipera ursinii rakosiensis s RNDr. Zoltánom Korsósom.
Návšteva bola splnená 11.07.2007. Záchranná stanica sa nachádza schovaná na chránených lúkach „Pészeradacsi rétek“ južne dediny Kunpeszér. So Zoltánom som sa stretol v Dabaši pred hotelom u svetelnej križovatky do Újhartyán. Tam som presadol do jeho auta a odviezli sme sa do Kunpeszéru. Uvítal nás riaditeľ Péchy Tamás. O stanici bližšie na www.rakosivipera.hu. Vo vonkaších, prírodnych teráriach boli hady po 2 až 3 kusoch. Vretenice sa rozpoznávajú podľa fotiek hlavy, ktoré boli magnetmi prichytené na stene terárií. Zo začiatku som nebol schopný hady pre ich maskovanie v tráve uvidieť. Po zpozorovaní prvej vretenice už to šlo. Podarilo sa nám uvidieť i lov a požieranie cvrčka. Na miestach, kde striekala voda, sa zdržovali rosničky zelené ( Hyla arborea ). Terária sú plechové, vysoké asi 60 cm a zapustene do země. Z vrchu je pletivo. Dlhé sú asi 15 metrov a širojké 4 metry. Z vlhkej časti ( jazierko a postrek vodou ) prechádza až po suchý a holý pieskový kopec. Podkladom sú samostatné drny vykopané na pôvodnej lokalite. V každom výbehu je zimovisko asi 60 cm hluboké zo špecialnych keramických trubiek. Kamerou sa zistilo, že pri hadoch zimuje veľa mlokov bodkovaných ( Lissotriton vulgaris ). Bol som poučený, že vretenica malá ( Vipera ursinii rakosiensis ) sa odlišuje od severnej tým, že má čierne brucho. Potom sme urobili krátku prehliadku terénu, kde by vretenice mali žiť. Našli sme iba jašterice krátkohlavé ( Lacerta agilis argus ) a zelené ( Lacerta viridis viridis ), ropuchu zelenú ( Pseudepidalea viridis ), skokany ostropyské ( Rana arvalis woesterdorfii ) a v zimovištiach pre vretenice ešte užovku obojkovú ( Natrix natrix ) a užovku hladkú ( Coronella austriaca ). Bálint tvrdil, že by tam ešte mali byť jašterice trávne ( Podarcis tauricus ) a pri kanáloch jašterice živorodé ( Zootoca vivipara pannonica ). Na pieskových vyvýšeninách sme našli vyhrabané vajíčka korytnačiek močiarnych ( Emys orbicularis ). Podľa Zoltána tam v lesoch ( ktoré dnes pre vretenice vyrúbali ) ešte v roku 1984 videl krátkonožky štíhle ( Ablepharus kitaibelii ). Na lúke poskakovali kobylky hnedé ( Decticus verrucivorus ), ktoré dokážu veľmi bolestivo uhryznúť.
